Clear communication about our boundaries – what we want and need or don’t want or need – is a foundation for satisfaction in all types of relationships. Most of us were not taught that we have a right to our boundaries, including experiencing boundary violations of all types. Bioenergetic therapy – a form of body oriented psychotherapy – provides tools and techniques to help people learn to own their right to have boundaries and to communicate about them more clearly. Through discussion and experiential exercises including grounding, expression and actions, we will focus on developing a stronger sense of personal safety and clearer communications. The workshop is appropriate for both professionals of all disciplines interested in body- oriented techniques to guide their clients, as well as individuals who wish to explore their boundaries in a supportive group setting.
Led by Bioenergetic Therapists, Jill Hurley, LICSW and Sarah Putnam, LMHC, CMT.
Jill is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private practice in Gloucester, MA. Sarah is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Muscular Therapist with a private practice in Cambridge, MA.
